Enjoyed this book。 Always fun when you keep thinking you know who-done-it, but then something else pops up。 Could have been edited down quite a bit, especially the first half。

So so amazing!!! Perfectly written and the amount of twist and turns will always have you at the edge of your seat!!!!! Don’t hesitate to purchase and read this book。 It is a master piece of suspense and multiple points of views。 Not for the faint of heart and easily offended at all as there is a lot of foul language and gruesome details。 After all, it is a murder mystery novel。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I read it all because of the mixed reviews (read about plot twists) and because I wanted to give this new author the benefit of the doubt。 However, I was very disappointed。 NOT ANY one of the characters is likeable or relatable。 Maybe this has to do because there is no character development。 Also, the lines of the characters are forced and seem cheap or cheesy。 (Like a bad script。) Let's just say that if all of the characters had died or anyone else had gotten killed, I would not have felt sad。 I read it all because of the mixed reviews (read about plot twists) and because I wanted to give this new author the benefit of the doubt。 However, I was very disappointed。 NOT ANY one of the characters is likeable or relatable。 Maybe this has to do because there is no character development。 Also, the lines of the characters are forced and seem cheap or cheesy。 (Like a bad script。) Let's just say that if all of the characters had died or anyone else had gotten killed, I would not have felt sad。 (Nor did I feel sad for the characters who did end up dying)。 Even the protagonists are not likeable。***Spoiler alert****(Even before it's revealed that Sarah is the killer, she wasn't likeable, which leads to my next point that I was not surprised by the ending because I've read Gone Girl, and this was a weak attempt。)Also, to the author: show, don't tell! I was so annoyed at how she felt the need to describe that the character was wearing a figure hugging $2000 suit (literally, that was on the book!) or that character was walking on Louie Vuittons and carrying a Coach bag or that her "doe" eyes were green。 Or that Michael looked like a skinnier Brad Pitt。 A good author would convey this better without directly writing it。 Not to mention that she uses too any questions in her writing (seriously, some paragraphs are nothing but I internal character questions!) Like: oh why did I cheat? Why couldn't have I been faithful? If I hadn't cheated would any of this have happened? Does she hate me? Does she still have love for me? Does she secretly think I did it? Do I have hope?Anyways。。。you get the point。 I'd like to think her bad writing is because this is her first book and that she got some good editorial feedback for her next ones (but then again, why wasn't it used on this one? Lol) I think the only reason this book has done so well is because of thr author's Tik Tok marketing campaign, and we know how the audience is so easily influenced nowadays。 。。。more

Had to be on the road for work today, and found this as an audiobook。 I kept waiting for the big reveal, and found it pretty anticlimactic。。。 but somewhat entertaining。 I did enjoy how two different voices read the book - gave it more depth。

This book fell short for me。 The idea was one that should have kept my attention, but the writing left me unable to believe any of the characters。 I felt a little bored reading it。 The ending only made me ask more questions than anything。 Like why did she present the whole book from the perspective of the husband and the wife, yet give no thoughts from the wife’s actual perspective? She should have presented it differently IMO。

Wow! Definitely couldn’t put the book down。 The ending really got me!

I loved this book! Sarah and Adam were married and seem to be in a loving relationship, but Adam was having an affair。 When his mistress turns up dead Sarah takes the case because she is a wonderful criminal attorney。 Poor Adam just makes mistake after mistake。 I loved the ending and look forward to more books by this author。

Not a fan at all。

Keeps you guessing。。。I don't like to do the entire story recap on my reviews, I just like to say why I liked the book。 This book has a great storyline and will have you scratching your head on several occasions。 Very well written and I never guessed the ending。 Good read and extremely quick to get through。 Keeps you guessing。。。I don't like to do the entire story recap on my reviews, I just like to say why I liked the book。 This book has a great storyline and will have you scratching your head on several occasions。 Very well written and I never guessed the ending。 Good read and extremely quick to get through。 。。。more

overhyped book, but a decent thriller nonetheless

Fantastic from start to finish! I listened to it and followed along with the book and I highly suggest that。 I couldn’t put this book down。 The ending was…。 Great!

I loved this book。 I found it extremely frustrating in parts, but wasn't that the point?! Hated the husband。 Sympathized with the wife。 Found the ending quite satisfying in a way I had never suspected。 I loved this book。 I found it extremely frustrating in parts, but wasn't that the point?! This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This book floored me from the very beginning! I never knew where it was taking me and I didn’t figure anything out until the very end。 Props to the main character, I definitely don’t know if I could have defended my husband for being accused of killing his mistress。 The ending absolutely shocked me because I honestly had no idea that plot twist was coming。 A true thriller, this book is amazing and definitely a heart stopper!

Tiffany Moreno

Ugh…so bad。 I almost didn’t finish, but I was curious enough to find out who did it & it was short enough to keep me going。 Not one likable character in this poorly written story。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This could have made for a really good book! Unfortunately there was not a single likable character, hated every single character。 Also in my eyes there was some plot holes or more like things that wouldn't make sense。 How was Sarah never a suspect, how was she able to defend him, how was Adam able to run away not once but twice doesn't the ankle monitor have GPS ?! Booktok hyped it up for me guess I'm a bit disappointed This could have made for a really good book! I was anticipating this book after seeing it reviewed so many times on Tik Tok。 I did enjoy the "snapped" feeling of it。 There was absolutely twists and turns throughout the whole book that kept me intrigued and ready to see what happened next。 My only true complaint from this book was the ending。 I felt like it just did not live up to the hype after the book itself。 Would recommend to readers who enjoy watching the I。D。 Channel。 I was anticipating this book after seeing it reviewed so many times on Tik Tok。 I did enjoy the "snapped" feeling of it。 There was absolutely twists and turns throughout the whole book that kept me intrigued and ready to see what happened next。 My only true complaint from this book was the ending。 I felt like it just did not live up to the hype after the book itself。 Would recommend to readers who enjoy watching the I。D。 Channel。 。。。more

How do you defend your lying, cheating husband for the murder of the person with whom he has an affair? Sarah Morgan is a highly successful defense attorney with a great challenge ahead of her。 Lots of twists and turns along the way!

Unrealistic? Sure。 Seen before kind of situation? Yes。 Terrible book? No。 Books aren’t always meant to be realistic, it’s nonfiction for crying out loud! Kind of leads you down multiple avenues and all kinds of possibilities of who had done it。 Ending made me mad, but not in a “I hate this book” kind of way。 More of a “really…? That’s what happened?” thing。 Overall, it’s a book that I would have my psychological thriller/suspense loving friends read。

This book drove me crazy。 I really wanted to like it and it was an interesting premise but OH MY GOD! The inconsistencies and things that just didn’t make sense。 I was annoyed with the author foe not doing better and honestly I gave up。 Here are some examples:1。 Towards the beginning of the book the main female character’s assistant calls her Mrs。 Morgan and she tells her to call her by her first name。 Soon in another chapter it’s discussing how they are pretty much best friends。 Ummm what close This book drove me crazy。 I really wanted to like it and it was an interesting premise but OH MY GOD! I somewhat enjoyed this book。 I read the back and thought oh an affair and then a murder this has to be good。 Umm well it went a little sideways for me。 The beginning was good。 I like the details and how it started and went straight to the good stuff。 The middle had a little much in it。 Some things I felt were not necessary and just strange。 The ending though。 Now that was good。 Can we say plot twist?!?! I liked the ending。 Totally not where o saw that book going。 Well worth the read though。

Sheri Konschak

Great ending!I really liked this book! The storyline was great and kept you guessing until the end。 Just goes to show how wrong a person can be about another。 Never thought the person who really killed Kelly was the person who did! Excellent story line! Keeps you reading to the very last chapter!

Mariana McCarthy

Overall this book was a really great read! The plot was well thought out the only issue is a few parts being a bit unrealistic。 However I really liked the writing style of the back and forth first person POVs of the two main characters。

Samantha Rex

Really liked most of this book! The ending was a little cliche。 Felt like there were some plot holes and twists that just didn’t make sense。
